Switching over from another package
You switch at your own pace. You do not have to move everything across before you can send your first invoice.
Where you arrange it
All the switching tasks sit together: open Settings and click Switching. This screen never closes, so you can still start three weeks from now.
At the top, under I am coming from, you pick your old package: Moneybird, e-Boekhouden, Jortt, Excel or paper, or something else. That is only there to aim the explanation at your situation; you can change it whenever you like.
This screen is for the group owner. If you have a different role, you end up under Settings, in Company.
The three things you move across
- Customers and suppliers: export them as CSV from your old package and load them in under Contacts, through Import.
- Bank transactions: download a CSV or MT940 file from your bank and read it in under Bank.
- Unpaid invoices: enter invoices that have not been paid yet again in TelMaar, under Sales. You simply carry on numbering from your old series.
What TelMaar does not do for you
TelMaar does not connect to your old package and does not fetch anything from it automatically. Everything runs through files that you export yourself, so you can see for yourself what goes across.
Invoices that have already been paid do not need to be moved. They belong to your old records and you have to keep them there.
