Tools with inspection dates and blocking devices remotely

Tools that must be inspected are a risk as soon as nobody tracks the date. And a phone left on the train is a risk as long as it can still log in.

The register and its statuses

Each tool has an inspection date and a status: inspected, due soon or expired. An upcoming inspection is visible before the date passes. You record who has which tool through issue and return, and you divide equipment over teams.

How to keep track of equipment

  1. 1Go to Settings and choose Tools.
  2. 2Add a tool with name, number and inspection date.
  3. 3Issue it to an employee or team; on return you put it back.
  4. 4Expired inspections sit at the top of the list; plan the inspection and update the date.

Devices

  • Under Settings, Devices you see which phones and browsers are logged in.
  • A lost or departed phone is blocked there; it can no longer log in.
  • Single sign-on through the company account is marked as coming and is not there yet.
