Roles and permissions
Every member of staff has one role per company. That role decides what they may see and what they may change. TELMAAR checks this not only in the screen, but in the database itself.
The roles you can assign
- Owner: may do everything within the company, including inviting users.
- Finance manager: may change anything, including the settings.
- Bookkeeper: works in purchasing, bank and accounting, and in the calendar.
- External accountant: looks on at their client and changes nothing.
- Sales representative: works in quotes and invoices, in contacts and in the calendar.
- Project manager: looks on at the books.
- Employee: records purchasing and receipts.
- Read-only: looks on and changes nothing.
Who may change what, and where
- Quotes and invoices: Owner, Finance manager, Sales representative.
- Purchasing and receipts: Owner, Finance manager, Bookkeeper, Employee.
- Bank: Owner, Finance manager, Bookkeeper.
- Accounting: Owner, Finance manager, Bookkeeper.
- Settings: Owner, Finance manager.
- Contacts: Owner, Finance manager, Sales representative.
- Calendar and planning: Owner, Finance manager, Bookkeeper, Sales representative.
Roles apply per company
If you have several companies in one group, somebody gets their own role per company. The same person can be Bookkeeper at one company and be allowed to do nothing at another.
Roles that appear under none of the areas above can only look on. They do not see the buttons for creating anything, so that nobody fills in a screen that cannot be saved anyway.
There is one more separate role, Customer (portal). You do not assign it under Users & roles; you switch it on in the client file under Portal access.
