Going through the start wizard
After your first login the start wizard appears. It asks a few short questions so your invoices are correct right away. You may skip every step.
How to do it
- 1At the first question, choose whether you are starting fresh or switching from other software. If you are switching, also choose where you are coming from: Moneybird, e-Boekhouden, Jortt, Excel or paper, or something else.
- 2Under Your company, fill in your street, house number, postal code and city, plus your KVK number, VAT number (Dutch: btw-nummer) and IBAN. This will appear on your invoices and quotes.
- 3At What kind of work do you do?, choose the industry that comes closest, or Something else. TelMaar tailors its examples and tips to that.
- 4If you are switching, you get an extra step with three switching tasks: import contacts, load bank transactions and move over outstanding invoices. You can open them right away or do them later.
- 5In the last screen you choose what to begin with: your first customer, your first invoice, or the mobile app. Then click through to the dashboard.
Nothing is mandatory
Below every step you will find Skip, fill in later. The wizard remembers how far you got, so you can simply finish it later.
You can add your company details later under Settings, then Company. The switching tasks are always waiting under Settings, then Switching.
Not working?
- You get a message saying the IBAN does not look valid.
- Check the number for a letter or digit you copied wrongly. If you are not sure, leave the field empty and fill it in later under Settings, then Company.
- Saving fails and you see the message that it did not work just now.
- Click it once more. If it keeps going wrong, skip the step and carry on; you lose nothing, because you can enter the same details later under Settings, then Company.
