Fill in your company details

Everything that appears on your invoices, quotes and work orders comes from a single screen: Settings, then Company. Fill it in properly once and you never have to look at it again.

How to do it

  1. 1Open Settings and click Company.
  2. 2Under Legal details, fill in your legal name and trade name, plus your KvK number and VAT number (Dutch: btw-nummer). If you do not file a VAT return because you use the Dutch small business scheme, switch on KOR and fill in the start date.
  3. 3Under Address, fill in your street, house number, postal code, city and country.
  4. 4Under Contact, fill in your phone number, website and sender address. Replies from your customer arrive at that sender address.
  5. 5Under Bank details, fill in your bank name, account holder and IBAN, so your customers know where to pay.
  6. 6Under Invoicing, check the invoice prefix, quote prefix, job prefix, payment term, the default VAT rate and the currency.
  7. 7Add your logo at the top. It appears on quotes, invoices and in the customer portal.
  8. 8Click Save at the bottom.

Who may change what

The group owner may change every field. As a finance manager you can only adjust the numbering, the payment term and the document templates; you can see the rest, but you cannot change it.

With any other role, this screen is read only. Ask the owner of the business to make the change.

Not working?

The fields are greyed out and you cannot type in them.
Your role does not give you the right to change these fields. Ask the group owner to adjust it, or to give you a different role.
Saving fails and a field jumps into view.
A few fields have to be filled in: the legal name, the sender address and the prefixes for invoices, quotes and jobs. Fill in the empty field and click Save again.
