Logging hours on a job

Hours you do not log are hours you do not invoice. You can let the timer run during the job, or fill in afterwards how long you worked.

With the timer, on the work order

1Open the job and click Work order.
2Under Track time, click Start as soon as you begin.
3Feel free to put your phone back in your pocket; the start time is kept, even when the screen goes off.
4At the end, click Stop and save. The time is rounded to five minutes and added to the job straight away.

1Open the job and go to the Hours block, or open the Hours tab in the app and choose Add.
2Pick the date and fill in how many minutes you worked.
3Under What it was about, briefly put down what you did, for example pulled cabling.
4Leave the Bill these hours tick box on if the customer is paying for them.
5Click Save hours.

The timer sits on the work order in the web app. In the mobile app you log hours by hand, through the Hours tab.
On the Hours tab you see your week day by day, with a total at the bottom of how much you logged and how much of that is being billed.
What you log here comes back on the work order the customer signs and goes along to the invoice later.
More than 24 hours on one day is not possible. If you get that message, you have probably entered hours where minutes are asked for.

Your timer is gone or no longer running.: The timer runs in the browser of the device you started it on. If you open the job on another phone, in another browser or in the app, it is not running there. In that case log the hours by hand; it costs you a minute and gives you exactly the same result.
Your hours do not appear on the invoice.: Check whether the Bill these hours tick box is on; hours marked as not billed stay off. If they say invoiced, they have already gone along on an earlier invoice and will not come a second time.
