Recording trips for the deduction and charging them to the customer
The tax office asks per trip for the date, the starting point, the destination, the number of kilometres and the business purpose. Record a trip on the day it was driven and the registration is done.
The five required fields
Every trip has a date, a starting point, a destination, the number of kilometres and the business purpose. TelMaar calculates the allowance with the kilometre rate you set yourself. If the trip belongs to a job, it becomes a call-out charge on that job's invoice.
How to record a trip
- 1Go to Trips and click New trip.
- 2Enter date, departure, destination, kilometres and purpose.
- 3Link the trip to a job or project if it belongs there.
- 4Save; the yearly overview counts the trip right away.
At tax time
- The yearly overview lists all trips with the five fields, ready for the return.
- Export as CSV or PDF over the period you choose.
- Charged trips are listed separately, so you do not count them twice.
