Online payments: where things stand
Online payment, where your customer settles the invoice in one click, is still under development. Below you can read honestly what is already in place and what you are best off doing now.
How things stand
The links to Mollie and Stripe are already in TELMAAR: there is a settings screen where you can store your keys and there is code that reports payments back. What is not finished is the live connection. Only a test environment is running, and your invoices do not yet carry a button your customer can pay with.
That is why we call online payment under development and deliberately give no date. As soon as it works, you will read it here and on the Integrations page.
Fetching your bank statements automatically through a bank connection, also known as PSD2, has not been built yet. It is on the roadmap.
What you can already set up today
- Bank transfer. Go to Settings and then Payment providers and fill in your IBAN and the name of your bank under Bank transfer. Those details then appear on the invoice, with your invoice number as the reference.
- Cash. Switch that on if customers sometimes pay you in cash, so you can record those payments properly.
- Filling in your Mollie or Stripe keys. You may do that already, but your customer cannot pay with it while the connection is not live.
- Setting one of these as the default, so new invoices carry that payment method.
How you get paid right now
You send your invoice as usual. Your customer transfers the amount to your IBAN with your invoice number as the reference.
After that you import your bank statements under Bank and then Transactions, and you match the credit to the invoice. The invoice then jumps to paid and the reminders stop by themselves. See the articles on importing bank transactions and matching a payment.
