Finding settings

Settings is no longer a long fold-out in the main sidebar, but a single link to a hub with everything grouped into sections and a search field above it.

How to find a setting

  1. 1Click "Settings" in the sidebar; you land on the hub with all settings grouped into sections.
  2. 2Not sure which section something is in? Type into the search field at the top: the tiles filter as you type.
  3. 3Click a tile to go to that settings screen.
  4. 4Once inside, you see the same list again on the left, or as a scrolling row of chips on mobile, so you never need to go back to the hub to open something else.
  5. 5Click "Back" at the top of the page to return to the hub.
The settings hub: tiles per category, with a search field above.
From any settings screen, "Back" takes you to the hub again.

I don't know the exact name of a setting. How do I find it anyway?

Type part of the word into the search field above the tiles; TELMAAR filters right away, even on words that don't literally appear in the tile name.

Why isn't the sidebar full of settings items anymore?

A long fold-out in the main sidebar used to push the rest of the menu down, and almost no one read the list. Settings is now a single link to the hub, with its own side navigation once you're inside.
