Starting your next job

The Today screen is the app's starting point for a technician: a greeting, and right below it the next job with the actions you need right away.

How to start your next job

  1. 1Open the app on the "Today" tab; at the top you see the greeting and, as a technician, your next job right away.
  2. 2The "Next job" block shows the customer, the time and the address of your next scheduled, en route or in-progress job.
  3. 3Tap "Navigate" to route straight to the address in your maps app.
  4. 4Tap "Start job" to set the job's status to "en route".
  5. 5At the bottom you see the sync bar: online it shows the time of the last sync, offline it says so clearly.
  6. 6If you have no open job, the "Next job" block stays empty and no action is offered.

Navigate and Start job sit as direct actions under the next job, with no detour through a detail screen.

What happens if I tap Start job while offline?

The status changes right away on your device and is queued. As soon as you have coverage again, TELMAAR syncs automatically and the new time appears next to "last sync".

Why don't I see a money card or signals on my Today screen?

Anyone with only the technician role sees no financial figures on Today; the screen focuses entirely on the greeting and the next job instead.
