Choosing a sector profile

TELMAAR doesn't use the same words everywhere: a plumber schedules a job, an IT company resolves a ticket, and a veranda builder delivers a project. That's what the sector profile controls.

How to choose your sector

  1. 1In the start wizard, choose the trade that fits your company best under "Sector", from twelve options.
  2. 2TELMAAR then adjusts the words throughout the app: "job" becomes "ticket" for IT support and managed services, or "project" for veranda and outdoor space companies, for example.
  3. 3The word for a work order changes too: "handover" for veranda and outdoor space, "service report" for IT support, and "work order" for most other sectors.
  4. 4If no sector fits exactly, choose "Generic service company"; it uses the standard words.
  5. 5You can still change the sector later on your company details page, outside the wizard.
The sector lives on your company details, and can still be changed there later.

Does my sector also change what my colleagues can see or do?

No. A sector only determines words, default modules and kpi widgets, never permissions. What someone can do depends solely on their role.

I picked the wrong sector by accident during the wizard. Can I fix that?

Yes, change the sector later on your company details; the terminology throughout the app updates automatically.
